myrrh

Myrrh is an aromatic resin collected from the Commiphora myrrha tree. It is available in resin, essential oil, absolute, or CO2. Myrrh is a long-lasting basenote with a warm, deep, resinous, balsamic, slightly smoky scent. It is often used with frankincense in incense accords, but it is also beautiful in floral orientals. The oil is thick and yellow/orange in color.
